| seller note | ANTIQUE MEDICAL DOCTORS STETHOSCOPE EAR TRUMPET HEARING AID. This ear trumpet has no name, but it has a patent for 1905 no.6540 05. Overall length is 10 inches (26cm).The middle section is still slightly flexible, the horn is nickel on brass, and I think the earpiece end is Vulcanite. The middle section has a couple of slightly damaged areas (see picture 7) and there's some slight breakdown to the metal securing clips, apart from that its OK |
| comment | Seems likely to be a UK version of the Aylesworth patent. Examonation reveals that there is some kind of damaged inclusion at the throat of te horn. No trace of flat strips but to easy to think it is a UK Aylesworth. The detail on the earpiece is identical as is the rim pf the horn. |
