| seller note | Antique Ear Trumpet Hearing Aid Tinsmith Made Japanned Stethoscope. This is an old tin ear trumpet. Most likely Victorian It is in two pieces probably for convenience of carrying it fits quite tightly when pulled together. There does not seem to be any traces of solder to say it was one piece. Made by a tin smith and Japanese. Looks black but it is has deep brown lacquered finish. Lots of dents, chips and scratches It is about 10 inches long [26cms] About 4 inches across the mouth of the trumpet [10.3 cms] There is a collection number painted onto the outside edge of the trumpet mouth. I was told that it came from a private museum collection |
